MYFG forays

The Mid-Yorkshire Fungus Group runs members-only forays and workshops throughout the year. If you're interested in becoming a member and want to attend an MYFG foray to find out more about the Group's activities, please contact Mary Larner, our Membership Secretary, and she will give you an invitation to one of our forays.

Start time:  our forays start at 10.30 am unless otherwise indicated.

MYFG members-only foray programme 2008

There are no outdoor meetings in June, July or August, but if the fungi look good, we will e-mail/phone people to suggest outings. Sat 6 Sept - public foray Golden Acre Park. NON-MEMBERS PLEASE BOOK. Start at Top Car Park, GR SE 215419. Note this is not the main A660 Otley Road Car Park. Leader Anne Bowers, Tel 0113 275 8957. Bus no X84 (Otley Limited Stop). Alight at Ramada Jarvis Hotel. Take the footpath to right of hotel. grounds. At the first stile on left go over into park and cross the dam. Do not turn left around the lake but follow the path uphill to top Car Park. Meet at car park SE588007. From the North take A1M, M18, then A6182 south from Doncaster. From M18, (junction 3) go approx 1K north to the roundabout. LOCK THE CAR AND LEAVE NOTHING IN SIGHT. Sun 5 Oct - Bishop Wood - NON-MEMBERS PLEASE BOOK. Start at the Dutchman Car Park, GR: SE 561333 OS Sheet 105 York. From Sherbourne in Elmett take B1222 towards Cawood. After about 4 miles turn right at the cross roads onto the un-numbered yellow road towards Scalm Park Farm and then the village of Wistow.
