MYFG foray list - British Library, Boston Spa - 20 October 2007
Foray report - Mary Larner
Our visit to the British Library was a privilege as
it’s only open by invitation.
As soon as we got to the car park we were overwhelmed
by hundreds of Russula exalbicans, Tricholoma scalpturatum, Lactarius
pubescens and a Boletus luridus or so.
The woods and lawns were very productive and included 2
identifiable Cortinarius. Tricholoma terreum under its pines was a
useful contrast to the earlier one under broadleaves on a grassy
margin. Positively text-book.
This and every foray in 2007 produced Stropharia
caerulea/pseudocyanea so the weather was good for something.
