My best find of 2006 was Otidea aleutacea. It looked just like the picture in Roger Phillips and I was particularly pleased that I found it in an ordinary place – Darwin Gardens in Ilkley in grass. I was surprised as I had not found one before although I saw one ages ago on a YNU Foray.
